How to Keep Track of Your Family Schedule
We live in a day and age where the varied schedules of a typical family can often create a sense of chaos. More than ever before parents need to embrace and utilize an organizational system that works best for them. You must ask yourself what is it that you most often refer to or can't seem to recall on a daily basis. Is it appointments or perhaps your child's extracurricular activities? Nothing is more embarrassing than missing an important meeting or appointment that you thought you'd never forget.
It is important to have an organizational system that can be both portable and practical. It is vital that you use it in order to get more organized.
Here are 7 TIPS that will help you get a hold of your family's schedule today:
1) Find a practical planner that serves its purpose. You can't judge a planner by its cover. It may be pretty, but is it really practical at the end of the day?
2) Your planner should be portable and durable. Can it fit into your bag? Is the paper strong enough to endure frequent use? Is the cover resistant to moisture?
3) Use a scanner to shrink down the size of family schedules. (school, sports, dance, clubs etc..) Adhere them on to the monthly dividers of your planner for easy access and viewing while on the run. This can serve as a your bulletin board while on the go.
4) Be Practical. What do you really need access to while on the run? Is it your kids' game schedules or is it the names and addresses of everyone you know?
5) Are you a visual planner or an electronic planner? There are many fancy technological gadgets out there on the market. Be certain that they are practical and user friendly for your lifestyle.
6) Shop Online. Be sure to shop online as well because often times newer products introduced by smaller companies do not have their products in retail stores. You may be surprised to find just the planner that will serve your needs!
7) Last but not least, enjoy your family's journey!
Despite the hectic schedules that seems to follow most people today, you can enjoy the journey! Record small victories and special moments within your planner. Keep your planner from year to year and refer to it as part of your family's history.
